New shipping line has connected Nakhodka Commercial Seaport (NCS) with the port of Brownsville (USA), the company’s press release states. The vessels deployed for this line carry 20-ton – 22-ton slabs from West-Siberian metallurgical complex of Euras Group. According to the press release, Nakhodka-Brownsville is not the only line linking NCS with America.

From March 2006, transshipment of 29-ton – 32-ton slabs is carried out in the port for export from Nizhnetagilski metallurgical complex (NTMC) via the port of Portland to Evraz Oregon Steel Mills for further processing (NTMC and Evraz Oregon Steel Mills are the companies of Euras Group).  Nakhodka Commercial Seaport OJSC is the major stevedoring company of Nakhodka port (Far East). The port is owned by Euras industrial group (former EurasHolding).  It is a dispatch point for products manufactured by the Group’s companies to Asian countries. The port is linked with any point of Euro-Asian continent by Trans-Siberia Railway. It plays an important role in Asia-Europe-Asia transport system. Over 40 regular lines link Nakhodka with world ports. The port is also linked with Vladivostok international airport by a highway. The port is able to handle over 1500 large capacity vessels per year. The port carries out transshipment of export and import cargo: rolled ferrous metal, aluminum, grain, chemicals, coal, equipment and other cargo. In 20006, throughput of Nakhodka Commercial Seaport grew 5.3%, year-on-year, to 6,896.1 thou tons.
